What it does
What can I send?
Contracts, terms, a detailed breakdown, a method statement — PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets, text or images, up to ten megabytes each, attached to a quote or to a job. They go out with the quote rather than as a separate email the customer has to match up to it.
Can I choose where the signature goes?
On a PDF, yes. You click the spot on the page where the signature line is and the block is stamped there. It is stored as a fraction of the page rather than a fixed point, so the same placement survives A4, Letter, a scan at a different resolution and the page being shrunk to fit a phone.
What does the customer have to do?
Open the link and sign. No account, no app, no password — it works on a phone, which is where most of these get signed. They type their name, and where they are signing for a company they say what their position is, because the argument afterwards is never "did somebody click" but "were they allowed to".
What proof do I end up with?
The document with the signature stamped where you placed it, plus a record page appended to the end carrying the exact sentence they agreed to word for word, their name, their role, the time, the IP address and the device. The stamp is what the document looks like; the appended page is what it proves, and it is always added.
Can I move a signature after it has been signed?
No, and it refuses by name rather than quietly ignoring you. The customer may be holding that copy, and where the name sits on the page is part of what they were sent — the same reason an issued invoice's total cannot be edited.
What about a Word file or a photograph?
They get the appended record page and no stamp, because a Word file or an image cannot be drawn on. The option is not offered on them rather than offered and quietly ignored, which would be a promise we could not keep.
What it does not do
Worth knowing before you spend an afternoon on it rather than after.
It is not a document management system. Files live against the quote or the job they belong to, and there is no separate library to file and search.
There are no multi-party signing workflows — no second signatory, no countersignature, no routing order. One customer signs one document.
There is no template editor for building documents inside the app. You upload what your trade body, your solicitor or your own letterhead already gives you.
It does not check whether your terms are any good. It gets them signed; what they say is between you and whoever wrote them.

Questions, answered
Does the customer need an account to sign?
No. They open a link and sign on their phone. There is nothing to install and no password.
Can I choose where on the page the signature appears?
Yes, on a PDF. You click the signature line and the block is placed there, stored as a position on the page so it survives different paper sizes and screens.
What evidence do I get that they agreed?
A record page is appended to the document with the exact wording they agreed to, their name and role, the time, the IP address and the device. It is added whether or not the document could carry a stamp.
Can a signed document be changed afterwards?
No. A signed signature block cannot be moved and the document is fixed, because the customer may be holding that copy.
