Everything it does, in one place
What people sign up for
Invoicing & payments
Deposits, balances, payment links and finance — plus credit notes and refunds that reconcile.
Smart quotes & instant booking
Itemised, priced from your own list, in your branding. They accept, pay a deposit and pick a slot.
Revenue Radar™
A score for how you answer, win and collect; what has been missed; and who is worth a call.
The work you finished and never billed
One tab showing every completed job nobody invoiced, oldest first, with a figure on it. Including the ones that took a deposit and look paid — an invoice exists, the balance never went out, and nothing else would tell you.
Extra work, agreed on site
Price it, send it, and they approve it from their phone before you do it.
Scheduling & dispatch
As many visits as a job needs, across days or people — and two of you on one visit when the job takes two. Route-aware, working hours per person, and it warns before a day is overbooked. The customer is emailed at 4pm the day before every booking — on the Friday for a weekend or Monday — so fewer doors are locked when you get there.
Proof of what you found
Photos, video and voice notes against the job. Internal until you send it.
Task Taylor — included, not an add-on
A question box on every page. Ask how something works, or ask what you are owed and what is on tomorrow, in your own words. It reads only, it shows you only what your account may see, and nothing you ask it leaves TaskMyJob.
Know where you stand, in thirty seconds
What happened, what it means and what to do about it — in three sentences, not a wall of charts. Targets you set and whether you are on pace, the money already confirmed kept apart from the money that is only possible, and profit per job once the costs are in.
Everything else it does
One file at year end, and an honest list of what is not in it
Your accountant asks for the same things every year. The records pack has them in one download — sales, payments, credit notes, overheads, job costs, VAT by period, CIS statements and retention. What it does not hold, it names on its own front page: your bank reconciliation, your payroll, your opening balances. It does not file anything with HMRC and does not pretend to.
Your accountant can sign in — and only sees the money
Give them their own login and they see invoices, costs, VAT and CIS — and none of your customers’ addresses, your diary or your job photos. Access runs twelve months and stops on its own. At year end there is one file with the records behind your figures, and an honest list of what is not in it. It does not file anything with HMRC.
Roles you make up yourself
The built-in roles cover most businesses. When they do not, name a role after the job somebody actually does — Scaffolder, Valeter, Receptionist — and tick what it can see. Somebody new can get the jobs without getting what you charged for them. Settings is never one of the ticks: the subscription, the bank details and the staff list stay with the owner.
What you spend, not just what you earn
Rent, fuel, tools, insurance and subcontractors, with the standing ones logged once and counted every month. Snap the receipt in the merchant's and attach it to the job. Renewals tell you before they go out, not after.
What the VAT bill is going to be
Your own VAT quarter, the date a return covering it would be due, what you charged, what you were charged, and the difference. Plus everything still missing before those figures are complete. We do not file it — your accountant or your accounting package does that.
Subcontract work, CIS and retention
Labour and materials split, the deduction worked out and never chased, statements tracked by tax month, and retention held without it reading as a debt.
Day rates, counted for you
Two men on site for six weeks at a rate per man per day — invoiced from the visits your team already finished, one line each, split for CIS.
Documents & e-signatures
Terms and contracts sent with the quote and signed on their phone, on your own signature line. No DocuSign, no fee per signature.
Work that comes round again
Repeat jobs booked automatically. Work to be sold again goes on a call list before it is due.
Never miss a renewal
Insurance and policy renewal dates in once, and you are told a month before — not a week after.
Telephone & online appointments
Not every job needs a van. Phone and video book, invoice and report exactly like a visit.
Profit, hours and reports
Profit off the line items with the share of work it covers. Hours against money, per person and per job.
Accounting that keeps up
Invoices, payments, credit notes and refunds sync to Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
Your contacts, already yours
Send customers across from your phone — iPhone or Android — and pick who to add. No retyping.
Your data, whenever you want it
Every customer, quote, job, invoice and payment as spreadsheets, in one click. No asking us, no notice period, no charge.
Common questions
Are any of these an extra cost?
No. £29.99 a month covers every feature on this page, for everybody in the business — office and field. There are no add-ons, no per-user charge and no tier that unlocks something.
Do I have to use all of it?
No, and most businesses do not. Setting up asks a handful of questions and switches off what your trade does not do — a salon is never asked to write a quote, a business that is not VAT registered never sees VAT. You can turn anything on later.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. 60 days with everything switched on and no card to start. If you do nothing at the end of it, it stops — we do not take a payment you did not agree to.
Does it file anything with HMRC?
No. TaskMyJob keeps the records behind your figures — sales, payments, expenses, VAT by period, CIS statements — and hands them to you or your accountant as one file. It is not HMRC-recognised and it does not submit returns.

Try it on your own work
60 days free with everything switched on, and no card to start. If you would rather ask something first, there is a person on the other end.
£29.99 a month for the whole business after the free 60 days.
