Put a photo on each personNew

A face beside every name — and on the confirmation your customer gets, so they know who to expect at the door.

Where a photo is set, and where the customer sees it.
What is said in this recording

A photograph on a booking confirmation is how somebody at home on their own knows the person ringing the bell is the person who was sent. Inside TaskMyJob it is simply easier to read a board of faces than a board of names. Until somebody adds one, nothing changes anywhere — a circle with their initials is what everyone sees today.

Step by step

  1. 1

For your own: open the account menu at the top right and choose Your details.

Every role can reach this, whatever else they can see. An engineer with no settings access still changes their own photo here.

  2. 2

Press Add a photo and pick one. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 8MB.

  3. 3

For your team: go to Settings, then Scheduling, and add one under each person.

Most businesses take the photos themselves rather than asking everybody to sign in and do it.

  4. 4

Press Remove at any time to take one down.

Worth knowing

Where it appears

Beside their name across TaskMyJob — the team list, the diary, their own account button — and on the booking confirmation your customer opens for work that person is sent to. Nowhere else: it is not on an invoice, not on a quote, and not in any email.

The customer is told a first name only

“Dai is your engineer”, with the photo. Not their surname — a confirmation is forwarded far more often than anybody intends, and their full name is yours to give out rather than ours.

Nothing changes until a photo exists

That block on the customer’s page renders nothing at all while nobody has one, so adding the photo IS the decision to use it. If somebody would rather not appear, do not add one, or press Remove.

Somebody who works for two businesses sets their own

If a person uses the same login for another firm, their photo is how they look there too, so it is theirs to set rather than yours. You are told by name when that happens, and asked to let them add it from Your details. You can always take one down.

No photo is not a blank space

Their initials show instead, taken from the first and last name. A blank circle would read as a picture that failed to load, and somebody would go looking for a fault that was never there.
