What is said in this recording

Every quote decides what has to happen before the work is booked. Three answers, and each one suits a different kind of job.

Step by step

  1. 1

Find “To secure the booking” on the quote.

It starts from the deposit you set in Settings.

  2. 2

Take a deposit — a percentage of the total.

The usual answer. The customer pays it on their own page and the slot is only held once it clears.

  3. 3

Or pay in full, for a smaller job.

The whole amount before you book it. Nothing left to chase afterwards.

  4. 4

    Or nothing up front.

They accept, the job books, and you invoice afterwards. Right for a customer you know, and the only option if you do not take cards.

  5. 5

Offer finance if you have it turned on.

The customer applies on their own page, and nothing is booked until the lender answers.

Worth knowing

No card payments means no money up front

If your account is not set up to take cards, the quote says so and asks for nothing. The customer still accepts and books as normal, and you collect by transfer, machine or over the phone and record it against the invoice.

A deposit is never lost in the paperwork

It shows on the invoice as already paid, so what is left to pay is the balance and nobody is charged twice.
