Who you are buying from

Putting your customer list, your prices and your invoices into software you have never heard of is a decision that deserves more than a logo. So here is why it was built, by the person who built it — and then the company, the address and how the thing works.

The story behind TaskMyJob

By Steve Taylor, Founder & Managing Director

I’ve always had a huge amount of respect for people who run their own businesses.

The early mornings, the long days, the responsibility and the pride they take in doing a good job.

Over the years, working closely with business owners, I’ve met some incredibly hardworking people who genuinely care about their customers and the quality of the service they provide.

But something kept standing out to me.

Some of the best businesses were also the ones struggling the most behind the scenes.

Not because they weren’t good at what they did.

Not because they weren’t working hard enough.

But because so much of their time was being taken up simply trying to keep everything running.

Answering enquiries, preparing quotes, organising jobs, managing staff, chasing payments and dealing with all the little things that come with running a business.

I’d see business owners putting everything into their work, delivering a fantastic service to their customers, yet still finding themselves short of time, under pressure and missing opportunities to grow.

And I kept thinking, surely there’s a better way?

That’s where TaskMyJob began.

I wanted to create something that would genuinely make a difference to those businesses.

Not another complicated system. Not something that would create more work or become another unnecessary expense.

Something practical, affordable and easy to use.

A platform that brings the everyday running of a business together in one place, helping owners stay organised, work more efficiently and make better use of the opportunities already coming their way.

Because I believe that when someone works hard, takes pride in what they do and looks after their customers, they deserve every opportunity to succeed.

Turning that belief into a business

That idea became TaskMyJob Ltd.

What started as a vision has developed into a platform designed specifically around the needs of service businesses.

From managing customer enquiries and quotes to scheduling work, keeping customers updated, invoicing, collecting payments and understanding business performance.

Every feature has a purpose.

To make running a business simpler, more efficient and ultimately more rewarding.

One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about building TaskMyJob is speaking with business owners, understanding how they work and using that feedback to continually improve what we offer.

Because I don’t want TaskMyJob to be something businesses have to adapt themselves around.

I want it to be something that works around them.

More Money. More Time. More Control.

These six words sum up everything I want TaskMyJob to achieve.

More Money — helping businesses turn more enquiries into work, reduce missed opportunities and improve cash flow.

More Time — taking away unnecessary administration so owners can focus on their customers, their teams and growing their business.

More Control — giving them the visibility and confidence to make informed decisions about what’s happening across their business.

For me, success isn’t simply about how many businesses sign up to TaskMyJob.

It’s about the difference we can make to the people using it.

If we can help a business owner finish work earlier, spend more time with their family, secure an extra job they might otherwise have missed or feel more in control of their business, then we’re achieving what I set out to do.

Looking to the future

I’m incredibly proud to have taken TaskMyJob from an idea to a live business platform, and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead.

My ambition is to build TaskMyJob into a trusted name for service businesses across the UK.

A company known not just for the technology it provides, but for understanding the people who use it.

I want to keep listening, learning and developing a platform that makes a genuine difference to everyday business owners.

Because behind every business is a person who took a chance, backed themselves and worked hard to build something of their own.

I believe those people deserve the right support, the right tools and the opportunity to enjoy the rewards of everything they’ve worked for.

That’s why I created TaskMyJob.

And that’s what will continue to drive me forward.

The company

Registered name
Task My Job Ltd
Company number

Registered office
126 Vicarage Road, Morriston, Swansea, Wales, SA6 6DR

A real company at a real address in Swansea, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a UK data controller. The same details appear on our terms and privacy notice, because they are read from one place and cannot differ.

How it is built, and what that tells you

One price, nothing held back

£29.99 a month for the whole business, every feature, everybody on the team. No tiers, no add-ons and no charge per person — because software billed per head is software you hesitate to give the apprentice, and then half the business is back on WhatsApp.

Your data is held in the United Kingdom

The database is in AWS eu-west-2 (London) and file storage is in Vercel’s London region. All customer data at rest is held in the UK. The full detail, including every supplier who touches it, is in the privacy notice and the sub-processor list.

You can leave with everything

A full export of every customer, quote, job, invoice and payment as spreadsheets, in one click, by the business owner, whenever you like. No notice period, no charge, and no need to be leaving. Software you cannot get out of is software with a reason for making it hard.

It does not pretend to be your accountant

It pushes invoices, payments, credit notes and refunds to Xero, QuickBooks and Sage rather than claiming to replace them. Fewer disconnected tools is the aim; one tool that does everything badly is not.

If you want to ask something first

There is no sales team and no call centre. A question sent through the contact form is read by a person who can answer it, and the phone number above is answered by one too. If you would rather have a look round on your own first, every guide and recording is public — no account needed to watch somebody do the thing you are wondering about, and 60 days free when you are ready.

Try it on your own work

60 days free with everything switched on, and no card to start. If you would rather ask something first, there is a person on the other end.

£29.99 a month for the whole business after the free 60 days.
