Apply for your own Monek account from inside TaskMyJob, so customers can pay deposits and invoices by card.

Card payments go through Monek, into your own bank account. You apply for your Monek account here rather than on Monek's own site, and everything TaskMyJob already knows about your business is filled in for you.
Step by step

Choose Set up live payments.
If you said yes to card payments when you registered, it is the last question in your first-run setup. Otherwise, or if you skipped it, go to Settings and press Set up live payments on the Card payments card.

Check what is already filled in.
Your business name, trade, address, website, contact details and bank details come from what you have already told us. Change anything that is wrong, such as a legal name that differs from the one customers know you by.

Answer the rest.
Your business type, roughly how much you take by card in a year, a typical payment, and whether you take deposits. A limited company also gives its Companies House number.

Add the people who own or run the business.
Each person's date of birth and home address. Monek need three years of home addresses for everyone, so if somebody moved in the last three years, add the address before. The form tells you when the history is too short.

Tick to confirm, then press Send my application.
It goes straight to Monek. Each person listed is emailed Monek's agreement to sign.
Worth knowing
Only the owner can apply
The application is a contract in the business's name and decides which bank account your card takings are paid into, so only the owner can send it. Anyone else in Settings sees a note asking them to speak to the owner.
TaskMyJob doesn't keep anyone's date of birth or home address
Those go to Monek for their identity checks and are not stored by us. We keep only a reference to the application so we can follow its progress.
Payments arrive in full, and Monek bill their fees separately
Each card payment is paid into your bank account in full, so every payout matches the invoice it paid and your accounts software lines up. Monek collect their fees separately by Direct Debit.
Approval is not instant
Monek review every application and may email or phone you for more, such as a copy of your ID. When they approve you, TaskMyJob is told automatically and finishes the setup on our side. Card payments switch on once that is done, and we let you know.
It can only be sent once
Once an application is with Monek it cannot be changed from here. If something needs correcting, contact us and we will sort it out with Monek.
Some trades are reviewed individually
Monek don't board every kind of business automatically. If yours is one of them the form says so, and Monek's team may get in touch before they can approve it.
