Turn a survey visit into a quoteNew
Quote the work while you are standing in it, and carry the photos through to the fitting job.

A survey, a site visit or a call-out to price something is an APPOINTMENT. The work it leads to is a JOB. These are two separate pieces of work, and this is how you get from the first to the second without typing anything twice — or losing the photographs you took while you were there.
Step by step
- 1
Finish the appointment on site as usual.
Take the photos, the video or the voice note while you are there, on the appointment. They are what the quote has to be right about, and they are far harder to get once you have driven away.
- 2
On the appointment's card, press Quote this work.
It is on the card on your own board, under the three evidence buttons. It only appears on an appointment — a job that has already been sold is not quoted again.
- 3
The quote opens with the customer, the address and the fee already on it.
The appointment fee comes across as the first line. Take it off if the survey was free, or leave it on if it is deducted against the work — that is a decision, not something the app guesses at.
- 4
Add the real lines, price them, and send it as you would any quote.
- 5
When the customer accepts, raise the job from the quote in the usual way.
The fitting job now carries a Priced at card naming the appointment it came from, and the survey photos are on it — read-only, where whoever does the work can see what the person who priced it saw.
Worth knowing
Pressing it twice does not make two quotes
On a slow phone the first press can look as though nothing happened. The second press opens the quote you already started, and the button says Open the quote rather than Quote this work once one exists — so you can tell before you press it, not after.
The survey photos are carried, not copied
They stay the appointment's evidence and are SHOWN on the fitting job. That matters for sharing: what you send a customer from the fitting job is what you chose on the fitting job. Nothing from the survey goes out because it appeared on that card, and an internal shot of the state you found something in stays internal.
A cancelled visit cannot be priced
Nobody attended, so there is nothing to quote from. A COMPLETED appointment is the ordinary case for this — you price the work after you have seen it, not before.
What this does NOT do
It does not price the work for you, and it does not send anything. It carries the customer, the address, the fee and the evidence across so that none of it is retyped, and then it is an ordinary quote that you write and send.
