The job evidence recordNew
Everything photographed, filmed, recorded or written on a job — and choosing what the customer sees.

What is said in this recording
Every photo, video, voice note and note from a job sits on the job in one place, in the order the job happened, with the time it was taken and who added it. It is there for the dispute that comes eighteen months later, so nothing is ever removed from it — completing the job, invoicing it, crediting it or the customer declining the extra work all leave it exactly as it was.
Step by step
- 1
Open the job and scroll to Job evidence.
Grouped as the job ran: Before work, During job, Extra work, Completion. Anything attached before the record existed sits at the end, because when it was taken was never recorded.
- 2
Read an item.
The note, the date and time, and who added it. Anything that justified an extra charge also says what the customer answered.
- 3
Add to it yourself with Add evidence.
A photo the customer emailed in, a note of what was phoned through from site, a report that came back. It does not all arrive through the engineer's phone.
- 4
Tick what the customer should see.
Select all is there, but it is a choice each time. Everything is internal until you say otherwise.
- 5
Mark for customer, or Send to customer.
Marking makes the items available on their page and on an invoice. Sending does that and emails them the link, with an optional message.
- 6
Send it at any point, not just at the end.
A cracked flue photographed at nine can be in front of the customer by five past.
Worth knowing
Nothing goes out by accident
Everything an engineer adds is internal. It reaches a customer only when somebody with the Jobs area ticks it and sends it — so your team can photograph the state they found something in without worrying about who sees it.
Withdrawing really does withdraw it
The customer gets a link to a live page, not a pile of attachments. Untick an item and it disappears from that page and from any invoice carrying it, even one sent weeks ago. The record still shows that it once went out.
The link is a link, not an email full of files
One phone video can run to hundreds of megabytes, which no email will carry. The customer gets a page instead, and it stays available for years.
Evidence the customer turned down is kept
If they decline the extra work, the photos that justified it stay on the record, still attached to the request and still showing the decline. That is exactly when a business needs them.
