Appointment and fee software for brokers and advisers

The diary, the paperwork and the fee. Broking and advice work is a meeting, a document and an invoice — TaskMyJob handles those three, and leaves your regulated systems alone.

Read this part first: what TaskMyJob is not

It is not FCA-regulated software. It holds no advice record and no suitability report, it performs no affordability or know-your-customer checks, it does not submit anything to a lender or an insurer, and it is not a replacement for a regulated back-office system.

What it does is the part that is the same in every professional firm: the appointments, the documents, the signatures, the fees and the money coming in. If that is not the gap you have, it is better that you know now than after you have moved.

What it does handle

A diary that understands a phone call

In the office, at the client's, by phone or over video. The remote ones need no address and add no travel, so your week stops pretending every meeting is a journey.

The paperwork goes with the appointment

Client agreement, terms of business, a fee schedule — attached to the booking or the invoice as files the client keeps, forwards and files.

Signed where you put the line

You click the signature line on the PDF and the block lands there. The proof — wording, time, IP address, device — is appended as its own page rather than shrunk into a box.

The fee, however you take it

On completion, on account up front, or staged. The balance absorbs the rounding, so the total is exactly what was agreed.

Ongoing fees that collect themselves

A card kept on file with written agreement, charged as the invoice goes out, and a failure that somebody is told about.

And who is actually bringing the work in

Where each enquiry came from, what it was worth, and which sources are producing clients rather than conversations.

Who it suits

Mortgage and protection brokers, commercial finance brokers, insurance brokers, independent financial advisers, will writers and estate planners, and the appointment-and-fee side of accountancy practices. If the work starts with a meeting and ends with a fee, the professional services page covers the same shape from a different angle.

Questions, answered

Can appointments be by phone or video?

Yes, and they are treated as first-class rather than as a workaround. A remote appointment needs no address, is on nobody's route and has no travel time added, so a practice that never leaves its office has a diary that makes sense. Office staff can be given remote appointments too, not only the people who go out.

Can I send the client agreement and the invoice together?

Yes. Documents travel with a quote, an invoice or an appointment as real email attachments rather than links, because the point of a client agreement is that they keep a copy. Nothing goes out unless you marked it as the client's, and anything too large for one message is linked rather than quietly dropped.

Can documents be signed?

Yes, and you choose where on the page the signature goes. A record page is always appended with the exact wording agreed, the time, the IP address and the device — because a signature block carries a name and a date, and that is not the same as proof.

Can I take a fee on completion, or in stages?

Yes. A fee can be taken in full, split into a payment on account and a balance, or staged across the work. The last stage is always the remainder rather than a percentage, so a fee split three ways never totals a penny more than it was agreed at.

What about an annual or ongoing fee?

A card can be kept on file with the client's written agreement and charged as the invoice goes out, and a charge that fails tells somebody rather than failing quietly.

Can I record a case or policy reference?

Yes, as your own fields — a case number, a policy number, a lender reference — and you choose where each appears. A field is keyed by its identity rather than its label, so renaming it does not detach everything recorded against it.

Is this FCA-regulated software?

No. TaskMyJob is not regulated software, holds no advice or suitability record, performs no affordability or know-your-customer checks, and submits nothing to a lender or an insurer. It handles the appointments, the documents, the signatures and the fee. Your regulated systems and your compliance obligations stay exactly where they are.
