Adding an interval your trade actually uses, and how far ahead the call list warns.
What is said in this recording

When a job is finished, whoever did it is asked whether it needs doing again. The choices they are offered started as three months, six months, a year and two years, which suits a boiler and suits nothing about a window round. You can set your own.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Go to Settings, then Scheduling.

  2. 2

Find “Follow-up reminders — how often work comes round”.

  3. 3

Remove anything you never use with the × beside it.

  4. 4

Add your own: a number, and days, weeks, months or years.

“Every 2 weeks” for a window round, “Every month” for a commercial clean, “Every 6 weeks” for a grounds contract.

  5. 5

    Press Save defaults.

Worth knowing

An exact date is always offered as well

Whatever you set here, there is still a “Choose a date” option for work due on a particular day — a certificate that expires, a revisit the customer has already asked for.

Clear them all and the standard four come back

An empty row would leave nobody anything to tap, so emptying it restores three months, six months, a year and two years. The screen says so rather than letting you find out.

Changing the list does not change any job

A job already set to “every 2 years” keeps it, and still shows it, even after you remove that option. You are changing what is offered next time, not rewriting what was decided.

This books nothing

A follow-up puts the customer on your call list when it falls due. It is not the same as a recurring job, which books the next visit into the diary automatically. The job page asks which of the two you want, in those words.
