Starting a job, pausing it with a note, and picking it back up.
What is said in this recording

Starting a job records the time you began. It is what the profit-per-hour and utilisation figures are built from, so it is worth doing as you go rather than from memory at the end of the week.

Step by step

  1. 1

Tap Start Job when you get there.

The clock starts and the office can see you are on it.

  2. 2

Tap Pause if you have to stop, and say why.

The note is what the office reads when the customer rings asking what is happening.

  3. 3

Tap Need Parts if you are stuck waiting on something.

Say what you need. The job moves to Awaiting parts rather than looking abandoned, and the office can order it.

  4. 4

Tap Resume when you pick it back up.

Worth knowing

A forgotten clock-off does not wreck the figures

Any single session is capped at 14 hours, so leaving one running overnight cannot quietly ruin every rate on the reports page. It is still worth fixing.
