What is said in this recording

Every week TaskMyJob works out how the last one went and puts it at the top of your dashboard — a sentence about the week, the figures behind it, and the three opportunities most worth a phone call. It can be emailed to you as well, on whichever day suits.

Step by step

  1. 1

Read the line at the top.

It leads with whatever genuinely went well. If nothing did, it says so in one line rather than dressing up a nought — a summary that congratulates you on a quiet week is one you stop reading.

  2. 2

Look at “Worth a call this week” underneath.

The three biggest open opportunities from Revenue Radar, largest first. Each one opens the Radar where you can act on it.

  3. 3

Go to Settings, then “Who gets told”, to choose the day.

“Send it on” sets the day for everybody in the business who receives it. It starts on Monday.

  4. 4

Press “Stop emailing me this” if you only want it on screen.

That is your own choice and affects nobody else. The summary stays on your dashboard either way.

Worth knowing

Monday to Sunday, not the last seven days

The week is a real week. A rolling window would make the same week read differently depending on when you signed in, which is how two people end up quoting different numbers at each other.

Money in means money that arrived

Payments that succeeded, not invoices raised. An invoice is a hope and a payment is a fact, and refunds come off it automatically.

A new business is not compared against a week it was not open for

If you signed up midweek, there is no comparison until there is a full week to compare against. Otherwise every new business would read as falling on its second Monday.

Every email can be stopped from the email itself

There is a link at the bottom of each one that works without signing in, and it stops only that business’s summary. Your quotes, invoices, job alerts and anything your customers are sent all carry on regardless.
